Earth. Water. Fire. Air. Roots. Seeds. Flowers. Fruit.
We can surrender & re-member our selves in relationship with the natural elements who teach us that our life is in the small things. They reveal the secret that we are both as fragile, and as resilient, as they are, connecting us to our own purity, our strength, and to a felt sense of Home.
The elements also teach us about the journeys of involution and evolution, and that both are sacred & necessary. Evolution moves upwards and outward like the flowers, and like fire & air, whereas involution - the journey of the root, and that of earth and water, is (most often) downwards and inwards.
I use the elementals as primary tools in rituals, as well as in live performances and rites of passage ceremonies.

Inheritance
Know this my love: our shared heart is at least as old as the Earth itself. & the medicine you need is imbedded in every fiber of the universe. Earth medicine. Earth technologies- a stone, a feather, a flower, a leaf, a seed, water, fire the sun dancing in the forest, nightime, and all the creaturas- there is no thing in this world that is not an Instrument of Magic. How will you then remember- the Heritage of one who is born on the Earth? the Inheritance of one who is willing to call this place Home? ©Pooja Prema 2015 |
